Peter has several years experience in investing in and working with early stage growth companies. Prior to founding MRV, Peter worked at a large bank’s specialty lending division where he assessed the funding needs of medium sized companies and helped provide them with capital to grow. Peter started his career working as a Civil Engineer in construction management.
He has a Civil Engineering degree from the National Technical University of Athens and an MBA from Babson College (Magna Cum Laude) where he was a Babson Fellow. Peter serves on the boards of AAC and Inanovate, Inc. Peter lives in Rochester, NY with his wife and three children.
Prior to founding MRV, Jay worked in corporate development, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions in the financial services industry. Jay is familiar with leading boards and company executives through discussions and analyses of building strategic plans for growth. He started his career as an engineer, with experience in manufacturing, structural design and construction.
Jay has Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Structural Engineering from McGill University (Magna Cum Laude) and an MBA from Babson College (Magna Cum Laude). Jay lives in Rochester, NY with his wife and three children.
Costas has over 30 years of investment and managerial experience in numerous established companies and start-up ventures. After gaining experience in R&D and engineering design in US based technology companies, Costas has participated in multiple international ventures in several industries including shipping, financial services, and renewable energy. He currently serves on several boards of companies including, Marfin Investment Group.
Costas has a BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University, Masters Degrees in Economics and in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University. Costas lives in Athens, Greece.
JP has more than 30 years experience in strategic planning and in directing business expansion for national and international companies in a variety of industries. Most recently, JP was CEO of the Nelson Family of Companies, a $400 million human resourcing company, where he has served on the Board for the past five years. Prior to joining Nelson, JP spent five years with Boston Private Financial Holdings (NASDAQ - BPFH), with four of those years as President of the Western Region before his advancement to Vice Chairman. Prior to Boston Private, JP was a Founding Partner of Edgar, Dunn & Company (EDC) a management consulting firm operating from offices on three continents where he was engaged by boards and executive officers seeking guidance on strategic planning, marketing/sales strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and profit improvement.
A graduate of Tufts University, JP also holds an MBA from George Washington University. JP resides in San Francisco, CA.
